Hi everyone! My name is Allison, and I am Choctaw. I am an Indigenous educator with a Masters in Music Education and a Graduate Certificate in Native and Indigenous Studies. I am honored to have worked for the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma at their annual Arts Academy since 2016 where the students have continuously told me how nice it is to be around Native teachers who understand their culture and make them feel visible. These students made me realize the lack of teacher accessibility to Native American music and culture. These products are the first step in providing authentic, culturally accurate pedagogy for teachers when addressing Indigenous material and students. Yakoke!
